About B.P.Ed.

From the date of inception of the department, it is one of the most sought-after departments of the Mahavidyalaya. The Mahavidyalaya has been running the B.P.Ed. course since the academic session 1995-96. The B.P.Ed. unit of the Mahavidyalaya provides a unique educational environment with its own administrative building, a large and well equipped gymnasium, extensive play-fields, a highly enriched library, recreational facilities, Career Counseling Cell and everything ideal for Physical education centre. The course is wholly residential with separate Hostels for male & female trainees and the Mahavidyalaya is administered and managed by a democratic Governing Body approved by the affiliating University and the Government of West Bengal. With its strong, dedicated and dynamic faculty members, the department is engaged in producing numerous efficient students and sportsmen to spread the fame of the department all around the state.
