The Seva Bharati Mahavidyalaya Central Library has a rich collection of text books, reference books including some rare books.The Central Library is an integral part of this college.The Central Library plays a pivotal role in the teaching-learning process of the college.
- Two separate sections are there in the Central Library – one section consists of Circulation Counter & Stack Area and other section is the Reading Room.
- It is well ventilated, well lighted and comfortably furnished.The total area of the Central Library is 2500 square feet and a seating capacity of 50 members approx. in the Reading Room.
- The Central Library presently has a collection of more than 10,000 books including some pamphlets.The Central Library is registered in the N-LIST Consortium for e-journal's, e-books, etc.
- The Central Library remains open on all the working days except Sundays and College Holidays.
- The Central Library is planning to automate with Integrated Library Management System Software.
- The photocopy (Xerox) and print-out facilities are available in the Central Library following the copyright rules.
- Current Awareness Service (CAS) and Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI) services are available on request.
- Surveillance is made through CCTV Camera installed in the Central Library including Reading Room.
- The Central Library is following Closed Access System for the students and Open Access System for the faculties & staff members.
- The Central Library is following Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) (19th ed.) & Anglo American Cataloguing Rules (AACR) (2nd Rev. ed.).for technical processing.
- For smooth functioning of the Central Library, a Library Sub-Committee is functioning headed by the Principal as Chairperson assisted by Librarian as Convener and representatives of different departments as members.
