About the Department

Background History

Political Science, an important branch of Social Science, was introduced as a General subject in 1964.Since its inception, the department has been continuously catering to the academic needs of the students who mostly hail from lower economic class background.At the beginning the department was under the University of Calcutta.Presently, the department is affiliated to Vidyasagar University.The department is now being run by two State-aided College teachers (SACT) who joined the college on 24th july, 2005.The department has no full-time faculty at present.
