Academic InfrastructureThe college has sufficient infrastructural facilities to ensure learning opportunities for the students: Old Building: Established in 1964, the two-storied building of the college has 13 classrooms and one Teachers’ Common Staff Room at the ground floor. The classes of English, History, Philosophy, Economics, Sanskrit etc. are held in these classrooms. The classes of several science subjects such as Botany, Anthropology, Physics, Zoology, etc. are held in the classrooms situated at the first floor of the building. Silver Jubilee Hall, one big Hall constructed on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the college, is situated on the first floor of this building. This Hall is used for multiple academic, cultural and administrative purposes. New Building: Completed in 2012, this four-storied new building, equipped with all the necessary infrastructure such as electricity, water supply, sewage systems, and internet connectivity, hosts the departments of Bengali, Geography, and Santali. Central Library of the college and the spacious and well-decorated Reading Room is situated at the first floor of this new building. Science Block: Department of Chemistry is situated at the ground floor of this two-storied Science Block. On the first floor of the building, the classes of departments of Physical Education and BPED are held. The Study Centre of NSOU (Netaji Subhas Open University)is also situated on the first floor of this Science Block Administrative Building: Built with the financial assistance of Paschimanchal Unnayan Parshad (PUP), a unit of Govt. of West Bengal, the Administrative Building of the college is a modern and sophisticated building which hosts the Principal’s Chamber, Office, Seminar Hall, Yoga Centre, IQAC Room, NAAC Room, etc |
