Background History:

Seva Bharati Mahavidyalaya, Kapgari, Jhargram, West Bengal is an undergraduate college affiliated to Vidyasagar University.It was established in the year 1964.The Department of Botany was introduced in the year 1978 as a General course subject.It is acknowledged for its academic merit and significantly inspiring co-curricular activities.Presently the department is being run by one full-time faculty member and state-aided college teacher(SACT).The department organizes many events like career-counselling, mentoring, educational excursion, local field visit, parent-teacher meeting etc.per academic session.
